Yes, I realized that it's pretty smart. If you're not logged on at last.fm it will ask you to register if you click the tag icon on the player, but if you're logged on it will check and know who you are after it connects to the music server, matching the IPs or something. The reason I didn't know if it was going to work is because they don't give you the code for the player, so you're probably not supposed to put it on your myspace page, for example.
