im Dave. commented on front page usually...migrating to the forum. im 23. filipino. work at AT&T. US Marine...still on inactive reserve. um...anything else?
Parris Island. I'm not sure about which Battalion. I want to do Intel, but my mom is in the process of getting her citizenship. If that doesn't work I'll go as Air Crewman.
i was in 3rd Battalion in Parris Island. middle of the fuckin sticks. experience of a lifetime though. air crew is cool. you get extra pay when ur up in the air i think. i was in communications.
well if you think about it...your gonna serve 8 total years anyway. i served 4 active 4 inactive. youll serve 5 active 3 inactive. not a big diff really. more time for you to get promoted...
Wow...that was the quickest I've seen someone post their picture when told to. Usually it's a whole bunch of whining and giggling ("don't worry, we don't really pay attention to the face so post!").
Welcome dave. I like your avatar. I don't know if you like Chevys, but I just went to visit someone in San Francisco and they had a 68 Camarro 454 HP- best day of my life so far.
im a fan of anything fast. except those annoying ricers with the loud ass pipes. i had a '01 Mustang Bullitt. she was my baby. but traded to something more practical. F-150.
and the picture...meh...its not like im trying out for BLOTD, so what ever...
is that what you call hondas? Rice Rockets? that's funny... :p I am more in the catagory where all the teenage boys want my car. I keep telling my 12 year old I want to "pimp my ride"! I would love to see what they would do with an Si.
i hate what they do on pimp my ride. its so...i dunno...over the top. some times even impractical. lcd screens on your bumper? wtf? heh but thats coo, i like Si's. i always thought the red was called Milano Red though.
Hell...I don't know Dave. It starts with an M and is in Europe somewhere! I have a small bottle of it in my glovecompartment...I will check on that...Milano sounds right Morocco sounds more exotic though...it is just bright, red with attitude! I think they quit making my model type Si because it competed with their Prelude market. It is so much nicer in body type IMHO then the new Si/Civic's. I sunk about $2,500 in the stereo and I just am one happy camper.
I joke about Pimp My Ride because I want a few of the things I see them do. I would like custom leather interior and I really want a customer paint job. I have a red devil duck that rides shotgun on the dash and I would like to incorporate him onto the hood somehow with flames. Call it a mid-life crisis wish. Would also like custom rims of some sort but I agree some of the stuff they do is too far out there for realism. Although some work is very cool - I would probably not like it...I joke about it more than anything cuz they all accuse me of being so attached to my car.
sorry TFC...don't know him...I will have to check on him and his style. Actually the first vehicle that I really fell in love with was my 1957 truck and I had big dreams of fixing that up. My ex and I had a Mustang Cobra that one that came out in black with gold lettering (I think...it was more his car) Then we got a 1968 or 69 GTO...the one year there that had an arrow for the rear side lights instead of the triangular ones. Gawd that car was fast! My dream car is still a Barracuda
okay...I think I have seen a program with him on it where he fixes up cars for people in special situations? One of the things I didn't like about the show is they tended to change the design - I prefer my cars to be original. If they change the windows, the hood, the side line or rearend design IMHO it compromises the integrity of the original design. There you have those 2 different "schools" again.
Edited to say...I could be thinking of a different show.
I think that they usually kept stuff original. I know that they would try to keep as much of the original car as possible. If they had to replace stuff they would get factory parts when they could. I mostly like the paint jobs and the sweet sweet rims.
