hey, i was sent this link by my buddy glimmer, so you can blame him/her for me being here. i like the bastardly site a lot, if i wasn't so lazy, i would probably run a site just like it, but i would ban useless hoes like paris, lindsey, the olsen monkeys and britney i'm 26 yrs old, live in manhattan nyc
yeah, i'm a guy, married, with 3 cats i live in the upper west side, i'm a clarinetist by day and night and i like photography. i'm very much in the arts and politics(liberal). ah, i'm so boring actually.
where do you live, tori? what you do? who is you be (as the kids say)?
ok francois since you mentioned cats..... yes... pics. :)
and f. i think everyone back here was liberal poiltical leanings.
i remember we did a a right leaning female but she didn't stay for long. she did a nice job of defnding all this republican. i wish she'd come back. but i say that about all females.... :)
uh me.... i like hiding behind the screen....and you'd truly laugh if you'd see this photograph. oh wait i don't have a cam the world is safe !!!!!
my profile doesn't have any info...thank god or whomever.....
i'm just this geek to infinity/another variation on a theme....
i'm just a bad speller/sexless wimp/geek fantastic and splitting. is that me. yeah that's me.....always for last place or so it seems....
and uh i have no pets.....and i live in the...south.... *gulp*
i always feel the less i say about the myself.the better.becuase i usually come off abit worse.when that sort of stuff gets discussed. where the losers at ????? :)
glimmer, so i will assume that you are a male about 17yrs and in still in high school, or a male 46yrs and living at home. hahaha, jk
so anyway, who's your top 10 on the countdown, i am poster # 2 on the link. i put anne hathaway as number 1, but i've been in love a longer time with angie.
bjork i like - i read that only "thinking" people like her nelly furtudo - i like her more physical than musically, but thats not putting her music down stp/pumkings - i like alot - the acoustics performances mostly ravi shankar - is awesome, i saw him at carnegie hall
i play classical, jazz, and i also perform in a few broadway productions (it pays the bills), i play clarinet, as i mentioned above. but i also play electric guitar at home, and i love the beatles, the stones, zeppelin, clapton, joseph arthur, arctic monkeys, motown, opera, i even listen to some country. as well as tango, flamenco, samba, all cuban styles, and old skool raggae.
Nice! Very nice. I haven't got around to ripping all of my albums, so a lot is missing. And Anal Cunt is a group from Boston, "that has been categorized as noise, hardcore, grindcore, and shock rock..." "Anal Cunt's lyrical subject matter predominantly includes homophobia, misogyny, anti-semitism, insensitivity to rape victims and misanthropy in general." I think it's funny. It annoys my friends too.
I don't listen to Nelly Furtado often, I just don't get rid of music. She is hot though.
Francois, welcome. Vous couchez avec moi? French people are dirty, and Francois is French. We're scheduling a Bastardly orgy soon in the climes of Europe, probably in Amsterdam where The Chef will serve us brownies and cookies a-la-carte and we will dance to some Fela Kuti rhythms whilst bohemianizing our roots with bleach and combing it through with scraps of newspaper headlined with "World War III". It. Will. Be. Grande!
I will request that you post a picture of yourself. If this is not possible, you may post a picture of your wives (your 3 cats). Yes, I read your introduction wrong "Yes, I am a guy, married to 3 cats".
Glad to see you around and share your playlists with us. I still have a sexillion to go through but hopefully this summer.
I'm 20, female, and I live in a closet (dorm) at my university in Northern California. I have a bottle of Sirah and Malibu Rum underneath my bathroom sink, and I live with a bunch of awesome girls (one of them is terminally AWOL). Btw. WELCOME.
hello jm and lilith, thanks for the welcome lilith, that is an awesome playlist, is johnny cash's desperado a cover of the eagles song? and for the record bowie and hendrix rule!
today is my day off work, and i've since had a bottle of vin blanc, and i tried to put up some picks but i couldn't
Haha no, I was calling Lill the asshat, for the French comment. And yes, I am a whore for Black Lips, haven't you listened?! They're awesome. But I have just as much music from most of those artist, so, ...
I'm getting stoned with my sister, I've got nothing.
lol...Jia, me and my uncle toke together too. We're one big happy family seriously...the rest of my family is fucked in the head (sorry if you ever read this, I LOVE YOU ALL)
Btw. I think the Eagles did a cover of Cash...it's the other way around.
yeah,i only go around that area to get to midtown comics. i get my fashion cues from the jcrew catalog and levi's. but i got a wear a tux/suit for work
oui JM, i collect, i have many superman/spider-man comics from the 70s and i buy about 12 major titles monthly. been collecting for about 12 years, had to move 3/4ths of my collection to my parents crib, cause these nyc apts... what do you buy?
tori, thats a nice building, i told an out of town friend that they manufacture every button on earth there. hahah the pizza shop across the street from there is really good too
i don't buy a lot of stuff regularly but i buy a lot of the trade paperbacks/compilations when they come out i got some of the civil war stuff and the world war hulk stuff looks like it will be good i collect the Goon, that's actually where my avatar is from and i have most of Frank Miller, Alan Moore and Mike Mignola's stuff and i grew up on the x-men and other marvel stuff in the early 80's
Btw, I think so about Desperado. Although I'll do a little round-about on the Intornetz to make sure.
Have you ever tried Napa/Sonoma County wine? Which companies do you prefer? I have two friends working hostess at the Wineries around here, I think one is for Blackbird and the other...don't remember.
i like syrah very much, but my main red is cabernet sauvignon. i do like deep, flavor wines, and there are many vineyards that blend syrah with other grapes. its all good. as long it comes from france, argentina or california.
Hello Francios. I like to say your name to myself with my ghetto fake french accent. Provides hours upon hours of entertainment...
...AAAAAAAAAAAnyway... As Tori mentioned above, I am female. I am from the US, but I am temporarily stationed in sunny Spain. I have been here off and on for 2 years. But only for another month and a half. Then I will relocate, indefinitely, to grey and barren NE Ohio. Yes, I am telling you all to pity me. Feel free.
I am 23 years old. My parents have one lovely (though somewhat evil) schnauzer and a lovely (sometimes psychotic) schnoodle. Technically they aren't mine, but I call them mine anyway. And since I will be forced to live with my parents (also indefinitely) in the coming months... They will become mine.
Sometimes I shoot off my mouth about my fucked up beliefs... You see I am quite liberal, but rather conservative in practice... So I think I tend to be a bit of a black sheep among some of the more opinionated bastards around here. But I think we all get along swimmingly 85% of the time.
I don't smoke and I don't drink, because I'm afraid of cancer and I hate the smell and my poor stomach just can't handle alcohol anymore.
And I would post a play list if I knew how, but I don't... and I'm too lazy to type it up. Maybe if real pops back in he will tell me how to do it (Mac users 4EVA!!!!).
Okay... I'm officialy running late now and will probably miss my bus thanks to you bastards. Thanks a lot (KIDDING!!!).
See ya all later.
Oh PS.. you are my favorite new bastard for following our (not so)unspoken rules. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay for awhile.
que tal MrPinchy? thank you for introducing yourself. I met some very nice people/cyborgs here yesterday. I'm not good at following rules, so hopefully, i won't get kicked out of this group anytime soon. i think its awesome that you live in spain. my sister in law studied abroad there last year, exchange program from univ of buffalo. she told me some funny things about the people/guys there, she said she never seen so many mohawk/mullets in her life. so what city are you in? i am actually vacationing for a few days in barcelona and in Nice, france this august. i know its the worst time to go there, but well, thats what my schedule permits and i make the best of it. i think its great that you don't smoke, but how is it possible that you live in spain, and you don't enjoy a really nice cold bottle of Cava? i couldn't deal
well its cool to find more people who think a bit the way i do, i like this forum a lot so far
dont smoke, shisha.. it might be way worse than smoking but it tastes good and looks amazingly cool..
umm i might of given a bad impression by calling you a cock blocker i ment it in the nicest way possible.. im not an arrogant prick i just have confidence and that gets me into trouble sometimes.. my lebanse name is Charbel my Brasilian name is Tristiano, work in advertising marketing , speak looots of languages .. umm i live in Lebanon go to brasil come to dubai go to italy and im never really in the same country for more than a year. i got beat with a wooden spoon, slipper and anything within my parents/ grandparents reach as a kid.. and i loved it :D
hey schtroumph, whats up? thats cool that you get to travel, i enjoy it, but after 2 weeks i get homesick and start daydreaming about being back in nyc. i am part lebanese, part french , and the rest of my family is from argentina i also consider myself to be a major asshole, and i hate many things in this life/world. but i'm the nicest drunk bastard you will ever meet.
Your half Lebanese?? HABIBI Ahlaaaaaann Kifak?? i FUckin knew it antoine .. my jeddo is called that :D yea traveling its cool you meet lots of people and stuff .. its the experiance that counts , im not going to complain about air staff... Right now i am In Lebanon and summer is here and the weather is awsome so is the beach and the girls.. have you ever been to lebanon??
no no, my ancestors - great grandparents from my father's side came from lebanon to argentina.my mothers family are french that settled in argentina after wwii. i honestly don't know a word of lebanese and never been to lenanon. i would go there if the opportunity arrived. i met a few lebanese girls in college, very hot chicks. i'm not too crazy about the skinny blondes that seem to be hot shit over here in the US. what does habibi baba mean? whatever you said up there? haha
hey manolo, whats up man, i've been to mexico a few times, i love puerto vallarta. you ever been there? i would like to go to austin, it looks like a cool city with great food and blues music. what kind of scene are you into over there?
hmm translating it might sound gay.. but habibi means my love ahlan means welcome kifak means how are you and jedo is grandfather..
ohhh yourrr grandparents from your fathers side..meaning your of phonecian origin. well i hope you do come down to leb its an amazing place.. news over exagerates and nightlife is awsome.. girls are amazing.
Yes Francois, I've been to Puerto Vayarta, awesome place. I love all the beaches over there.
And yeah I like Austin a lot, although it's growing like crazy nowadays, toll roads, highways and tons of new houses and appartments. The small city feel is fading
Spain is great. I love it here and I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that I have to leave. I am living in Madrid. about 3+ years ago I lived in Seville.
You're sister was not exaggerating. When you walk out on the street all you see is a sea of faux hawks and mullets. Its such a disappointment. I'm on the subway checking out a cute guy and then he turns around there is a tail. I weep for the youth of Spain. They spanish guys are kinda gross here anyway. They are all (mostly) babied and prissy.
I went to school in WNY... So there is a good chance I know someone who knows your sister. Especially if she studied Spanish.
I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, let alone anything else. Its difficult here, because the smell of smoke REALLY bothers me. I even lived with a smoker for most of the time I've been here. Up until the last several months before she moved out she was polite enough to keep it from being noticeable. Most of the Spaniards I know don't smoke though, so its usually not much of an issue. The only thing that sucks is bars and restaurants are pretty smokey.
And let me clarify a little on the drinking thing. I do on (rare) ocassions drink Cava and white wine. Even rarer, beer. But I have to go really easy on it and only drink like one a night every couple of weeks. Kinda sucks, but oh well. If I don't drink it much I'll ocassionally treat myself to a caña or a glass of wine. Cava only on special ocassions.
Barcelona is really awesome. Lots of fun, different things to see there. Unfortunately its like a completely different world from the rest of Spain. But still lots of fun. I'd love to go back there with friends, because I took my parents there and there is only so much fun you can have sight-seeing with your parents. If you need ideas of what to see, let me know. There are a ton of "must-sees."
yeah, i can't wait to go to barcelona, plan on going to all the tapas bars, flamenco restuarats and i would love to visit palau de la musica, the picasso museo and of course the cathedrals and las ramblas. i haven't thought about what to do as far as night life. but i would happy drinking a coffee at a cafe planning for the next day.
why don't you consider coming to nyc instead of going back to ohio? i'm sure you could get good work over here.
I'd love to move to either Seattle or NYC, but my grandmother is terminally ill and I've spent the past 6 years moving around. My parents want me home for a little while.
But I'm looking into my options for Grad school here in Madrid and also a diplomacy school for within the next couple of years. My hope is to one day live somewhere other than Ohio... but we'll see. For right now I gotta deal with this family stuff.
seattle is my 2nd fave city in the US. its awesome, although there are more crazies loose on the street there than any other city i've been to. wow, your spanish accent must be really sexy. i sound like an italian speaking spanish. my wife reads the gossip magazine HOLA, so we're up to date with our spanish celebs/gossip. do you like/know alejandro sanz???
I know of Alejandro Sanz. I'm not the biggest fan. He's got a few songs that I like. But he bothers me, because when he moved to Miami he dropped his Castilian accent and started singing with a Latin American accent. I don't have anything against Latin American Spanish... in fact I love it... I was seeing a Bolivian guy and I LOVED to listen to how he pronounced his "r"s. But I love the Castilian accent too and it bugs me when people deny their roots.
Okay... sorry for the rant.
Oh... and I can't stand my accent. All I can hear is how stupid I sound when I speak in Spanish. I'm sure it doesn't sound bad to them... but for me it sounds icky. And what is even MORE fucked up is that one of my favorite things is to hear people with non-english accents speaking English. Der.
Fantastic stuff! Welcome francois antoine, it's good to see you here. Cool convo going on. :o) I'm away for a day and see what I miss out on!?! Ha ha. A little about me. I was born in England and live in London. I'm 40 (just) I sing (badly) write (occasionally) and have a love for certain kinds of music, jazz-funk, soul, u.s house and garge...I could go on, but won't. I'm also an ex-film buff of sorts, ex-comic book collector and like to play as much sport as possible - whilst i'm injury free.
hey king, nice to meet you jermajesty (jermaine jackson named his son that, hahaha) you sound like a cool dude, i hope to go to london one day, lots of stuff to see and do. i also like the premier league, go chelsea!
No, there's really nothing in Iraq worth invading it for - except, of course, to turn it into the world's largest dump (no tto be confused with the world's second largest dump on Iraq's right).
Francois, how about Kendall-Jackson? I think one of the girls who works with me was just hired their as assistant hostess. I have no aged wines and so none of them are worth mentioning just drinking.
New as a member, recently just view the pics and the funny captions. Would enjoy seeing more variety in the SLuts and Ho's. You cant count Courtney Love as a slut or Ho, she's just damn nasty lookin. And no more Jenna Jamison ducky shots either. That skank is giving porn a bad name. PS, who the fark is Amy Winehouse? She damn ugly thats for sure.
thanks for asking, i spent 2 weeks in Roma, 1 week in Venice and 1 Week in florence, travelled by train. Saw as much as I could, and some spots were just too crowded. 1st and last time i go to italy or anywhere in the summer, but schedules only allowed for that time. i will post some pics tomorrow
Wow... Sounds awesome. I wanted to go to Turin/Torino (not sure what it is in English) because I had a friend from there, but she completely blew me off for some other people and we parted ways less than amicably... so it never happened. I can imagine Italy is pretty unbearable in the summertime... but still... awesomeness. Can't wait to see the pics.
hello eduardo - after all this time, i don't think we were ever introduced, plus i haven't been logging in here as frequently, so i might have missed this.....Hello Eve, thanks for...,do you have any pets? please start an introduction page here's a link to some of my photos, http://www.flickr.com/photos/13712335@N03/ have a good weekend everyone.
All I have to say is Wow! Great shots....And the one with the little car is so.....Cool! There is something really great about your angles....It gives it a different sort of feel. Even if you have seen similar photos....The are original. Great work my friend. I'd love to see more.
Cool pictures francois. Very nice indeed. Look all the more impressive in monochrome, don't see that often enough I feel. Liked the little Fiat. I drove a similar model for a short while!
thanks guys, the pics have a bit too much contrast, in my opinion, but i blame the super bright, overhead sun for that. i'm not a one to photoshop my pics. i will try to update my flickr account, i took about 3000 photos in those 3 weeks.i did see plenty of smart cars and vespas, i heard they will be sold here soon...i would get one as opposed to an suv.....going off the subject, i sold my nikon d80 to a friend, and i will soon be getting a nikon d300, i also own a nikon f5 (film camera) and my trusty minolta maxxumm 7000 (film). my favorite lens is the nikkor 50mm f 1.4, and i also use a nikon 18-200mm 4.5.vr., and a nikkor 24-85mm. on the maxxum i use a 50mm f1.7. any proud camera owners up in here?
François, I do have pets. Two cats and a female dog (the dog, called Polie, actually belongs to my sister but guess who's the one giving her a bath...). The female cat is called Preta (moody, hates other cats and lazy) and the male showed up at the front door some days ago and I let him stay (hoping my sister would agree with this)...I couldn't come up with a nice creative name so I think his name is going to be Bartholomew (yes, because of The Simpsons).
