We've had to damn hot weather, but at the moment we are in the middle of heavy, heavy rain showers and some of the flooding up north has been like the flooding over in Oklahoma. Bloody hell.
absorbent underwear, maybe nike or addidas should make something like, or maybe they already do. i got a friend who told me that he baby powders his zeppolis in the summer, i think thats a bit gross though and... i think mojitos are the most refreshing summer drink. i can have 4 of them about now
i like lime margaritas on the rocks, the best one i ever had was at a water front cafe in puerto vallarta. patron is very nice, goes down smooth and it washes down nicely with a beer and some cold ceviche
Ahh, now that's a question. There are so many! But one of the best would definately be across from Baker Street Station. There is a pub restaurant on the corner. It has seating outside and is on the junction of Baker Street and Marylebone Road. It's a busy junction, and, as good fortune would have it for people watchers of all ages and sexes, there is a crossing right at that point. So you have office workers going back and forth. Students going about their business. Tourists. And everyday folk.
The pub is called the Globe. http://fancyapint.com/pubs/pub685.html
Ha ha ha. Obviously very hardy souls, up on that roof (hey, is that a cue for a song? Na-hhh.) It'd be cold meats, salads, quiche & salad, sandwiches or gazpacho for me. No way that I'd be going for the hot food option! Damn.....
No ac....bloody hell. Lots of those portable units I hope!
There where people passing out from the heat on tube trains just a few weeks ago. There is no ac on the tube network.
TFL (Transport for London) are working on it now though. But because they are space limited, they are planning something ingenious as far as cooling goes and will have the movement of the trains coming in and going out of the platform help circulate that cool air around. Or something along those lines. Hope that it happens soon!
Its not overly hot here... but its so fucking humid. I got out of the airport and was instantly drenched from the humidity. I came from Madrid, where there is basically NO humidity to a fucking sauna.
And it was cold in London when I flew through. Of course I worked up a sweat running across Heathrow when I found out you are only allowed to have one carry-on and I had to check on of mine. Almost missed my flight. Damn terrorists. They ruin everything :-(.
