I couldn't, for the life of me get that to work/load. So, to save my sanity, and to save on putting the pc through the wall in frustration, I found a slightly different way to do it.

I think there was an option to save it as a buddy icon

And there are plenty of websites that shrink down pictures... not a bad idea (about the avatars, that is).

Hmm... I made mine into a buddy icon, but its pretty tiny and hard to see with a black background. Now I wish I had those photoshop skills.

Don't feel bad. The one I got was one that looked like a cross between a man and a lesbian. They give you the option to customize it and make it look like you.

The only options I had was to wear glasses or have cat eyes. I think I'll try again.

Yeah I had to make some changes too, I wasn't wearing glasses in the photo and I had long hair, but not anymore, so I adjusted that.
Sullen, once you get your photo, on the left you have options for face, hairstyle, body type and accessories.
