All American Hamburger Merrick Road Massapequa Long Island.
this place is the fucking coolest place here on Long Island for food. sucks you can only pay with cash, but, they own the ice cream store next store as well...but the All American Hamburgers are AWESOME, i always get the Quarter Poubnders with cheese, the fries KICK ASS, and the knishes for 1.25 are worth buying afew of to wsave and eat for lunch or snacks.

****! Just typed out a whole list. My browser crashed as I was saving it - all that tasty food gone! Nooooooo! (It was too damn long a list anyway....)
Anyway...I'll start again.
Some faves from my wanderings about Londinium and a couple of it's suburbs.
Abeno/Abeno too: Abeno Baroque. Great food, great vibe. Gone through a few changes, now a little pricier by all accounts, but still good! Nice! Benihana: beni-h Cottons Rhum Bar: cottons Gourmet Burger Kitchen: Now that's a tasty burger! Momo (japanese restaurant) Okawari: okawari japanese restaurant Oriental City (Chinese, malaysian, Thai, Japanese, Indian, Indonesian & Korean food court - excellent!): wiki-p Osteria Del Portico (Italian) Wagamama (Apparently one has recently opened in Boston.) Yo Sushi! Zizzi (pizza & pasta ): zizzizgreat
That'll do from me, as I'm feeling hungry just thinking about those places.
mexican: Tommy's in San Francisco Don Jose's in Providence Copabanana in Philly copa isn't really mexican and the food isn't anything fancy i go there for the drinks, and the spanish fries
Plum Tree Inn - Los Angeles is one of the best places I've ever eaten Chinese food. Sri Thai - Great place to eat. Especially the prawn with chili sauce and basil. Wow, just wow. Their curry's are a bit perfumy though. Dumplings to-die-for! Thai House Cafe - This is the place to get your Thai Curry's.....Good good all around though. Salaam Bombay - This place has great atmosphere and the food is damn good. Great food too. I use to go in on Saturdays and they would have a sitar player there. We would chow down on Indian food, drink exotic beers and just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
this is awesome....i use to love Gen tsos, back when i ate chicken...but very few places ever use white meat.... i'm in manhattan...my fave places are Cafe de la Fortuna @ 71st, between central park west and columbus(great pastries and espressos, they only play opera in the backround, which i think is super sexy). Big Nicks across the street is my favorite diner type of place, huge servings and they have $1 miller draft on weeknights. For italian i like Pomodoro's and Il violino both on columbus ave(great pastas). For Tapas i like a hole in the hole in the wall called las ramblas on west 4th, they have many many types of tapas and more Cavas (sparkling wines) than most liqour stores. My favorite Pub is Manchester Pub near 48th and 2nd, they got many great european beers and broadcast all the great european games. and finally the best veggie burger in town (they got a fantastic spinich dip and their meat burgers are great too) is served at Houstons. its in the basement of the citicorp building on 52nd and 3rd.
forgot...the best fish and chips are at the Heartland Brewery, AWESOME AWESOME beers too. didn't rachel ray do a $40 a day in nyc? wonder where she went. $40 doesn't get you much unless you buy from a food cart or deli buffet.
Don't feel bad. My stomach is ghetto too. But that could be more because I am poor and live in Ohio. I don't really have many opportunities for fine dining.
And I could tell you guys some of my favorite restaurants around these parts, but what's the point, really?
hey tori, theres 4 that i know of, one on southstreet, basement of empire state, 43rd (the nicest looking one), and the one near 48th bet broadway 6th. what do you usually get? have you tried the fish and chips there? i love the indian pale ale, pumking ales, belgian black, champagne ales, and hefewezein. anyway, i frequent the one on 43rd with some friends/coworkers before work, just 1 40ounce pint, to make the night go by easier.
