It's not Friday.....Just like Friday though...for hopefully for most of us. Here are some stuff I'm listening to this week. In a country, reflective mood. Couple of highlights....Billy Gilman singing and story type song...Listen....Amazing song (ignore the braces). Also Kellie Pickler has one my heart with this amazing performance at the CMA's Happy Thanksgiving!!
Is that Kimberely Williams making that horrible joke before announcing the Pickler? There was a time when she was the most beautiful woman I had ever scene....Now she looks she would need a trowl to get the make up off. Update....I guess so...She is now Kimberely Williams-Paisley.
sadley... i have to listen to the radio in my work truck that the station isnt my choice sincei dont have senority, anditdont have anything but a radio...

The White Stripes are so fucking bad live they are good. if you understand what im saying...and sadley no one will ever get to experiance them in their quintesential place anymore...tiny ass clubs where Jack Whites guitar you actually hear it from teh AMP and not the speakers.... they used to tear shit up at tiny clubs.
I like the Jr Vasquez Remix of Secret, wonder what happened to that guy...
and we all KNOW i love that Aly and AJ song....Reminds me of Dance Hall Crashers...

Stevie Wonder - Superstition live on Sesame Street
Fantastic. Then, just when you think it's finished.....you get some..... ''Se-eh-es-same Street. Se-ehh-es-same Stre-eeet. Se-es-samee Street yea-eh, that's where I wanna be! Se-eh-eh-eh-es-same street, eeet!'' Excellent.
If you liked that (debateable) watch them bring it to this tune, vocorder an all!
Ah....So Sorry I missed all that guys. I didn't miss it now....But sorry I missed then... Along with Use Me with Bill Withers, Superstious is like the badest song on the planet......
BTD....I love that R.E.M. had to do that song they hate to their core, but look happy at the same time....So funny.
Some Old, some new....Some OLD/NEW....Not much good footage from the Led Zep concert, but it's the best I'm finding.....And yes...That is a Miley Cyrus Song in the middle.....I can't help myself....It's like cotton candy....everyonce in a while you just got get some!
Jennifer Connelly on bass? I think they should have a version of the video of just her....Also Borat plays Keyboards? Awesome....Who's the clean cut white guy? Is that actually Martin Solveig Who is the James Brown guy in Pink? I guess i could look all this up.....But it's more fun to hear it from you.
I love the song Use me and this is a really low key version of the song that is nice. Although Aaron Neville has always amazed me. He's got this gentle little voice, but he looks like he could rip the arm off a Grizzly bear. Use Me I couldn't emded....so you have to make the trip over to youtube.
Hmmm. Michael Stipe in that one video.....And he remembered the words! LOL! thanks for the all music.....I'm up on lots of music, but I miss a lot of the independent stuff.
i like my Alt stuff Ed....50 Foot Wave is Kristen Hersh's 3 piece, and fucking hell it ROCKS... i want to go see them if they play the city....
im at the point where id give anything to be in a band and open a national tour everynight for her and 50 Foot Wave, just cause id get PAID to hear them everynight.
PS LOL i was thinking about this, but thought it was dumb so i never did it, i was gonna do a podcast....put soem cool music up, and rant on incensetly about how much i want to eat Ashley Tisdale for lunch, or whatever else crosses my mind, but never really thought anyone would give a shit....
should i do on in the near future? LOL all you lucky lucky people with Office Job can Download it and listen to it while you are working.....
oh how i love to listen to the sound of my own voice....
You set up a playlist on Youtube and cut and paste the playlist...Just like you would with the individual videos. Even the videos you put up have more than one. Just hit menu and other videos in your playlist come up. Yes...Nice collins. Seems to that a wider and flatter fret board than most accoustics.
Paramore is on here twice because I have been trying to find who did the Misery Business song for like 2 weeks and finally found it. There's one on there for you too Phil.....List Kristin Hersh......She kind of reminds me of Nancy Griffith without the Texas Twang. Also Gillian Welch and Time from Pink Floyd....One of the best beginnings to a song ever. Plus other songs. Enjoy your weekends!!
Great video...and song! Awesome KB! My first thought while watching were these two videos....Not sure why.....:
Obscure Ozzy stuff: This video...OZZY doing a song on a Bill Ward (drummer for Black Sabbath) Album from 1989. Very cold era....I loved it than and still like it now....Take a listen.
OH!! Another one from the same album. Also featuring Ozzy:
Liked the first vid and song very much thanks ed.(Hints of sousxie sue?) The second song was good too. (Echo and the Bunny men influence maybe?) Listening to the Bill Ward track now. Not bad. Thought I wouldn't like it, but it's okay.
the song i've had in my head all day is not at all funky...Everything Shines by Chris Trapper/The Push Stars "....all we losers stand in line, just waiting for our time"
i've never posted in this thread due to my random and ridiculous taste in music. but i'm gonna soil the thread now (sorry folks) this is a track called "Miller Ball Breakers" by deavid soul. the track is from a video game sound track (which i recently downloaded and am running int the ground). the game was jet set radio (jet grind radio in the u.s.). it's got a mix of house, funk, hip hop and rock on their... anyway heres the track. their ain't a video for it though. so it only requires ears.
Remember Pinchy and Loki...Remember just carefull with the trouser snake and causing any tsunamis. Even Burt Lancaster was nive enough to keep it holstered. Pinchy....Great videos....I just kept thinking of Office Space...You know the first scene where he is playing the rap musics and he turns it down when he see's a black guy. I was just imagining that through all these songs. Who would know you'd know some bad ass rap tunes....
agreeing to marry me may dent that "interllectual image" of yours even further. however you've already said yes, so i'm gonna take that as a verbal contract.
Hmm... somehow I missed your last comment, Loki and only just now saw it. I think once you met me in real life you'd change your mind about marrying me. Love for Jay Z or not. Anyway... for some reason this song popped into my head, hence me looking up this thread and seeing your comment. I met this little girlie, her hair was kinda curly Went to her house and bust her out, I had to leave real early These girls are really sleazy, all they just say is please me Or spend some time and rock a rhyme, I said "It's not that easy"
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time It's Tricky...(How is it D?) It's Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Trrrrrricky) It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time It's Tricky...Tricky (Tricky) Tricky
if this is true i'm guessing the eyes with glasses was you too. so i got eyes and a body. i'm waiting for a mouth or nose shot to help complete my mental jigsaw
I always felt that way too Francois. The music of the 70's had such range. Led Zepplin to Kasey and Sunshine Band. Plus it would be cool for all of us Bastardly people to get together at a disco and dance the night away.
Today is Friday for me. Praise Jebus for small blessings. Anyway... This song came on my iPod. One of those rare songs that can make you cry and put your spirit at ease all at the same time. And goodness what a beautiful voice, even live.
Shirley Manson 100% hot....Well except for the Annie Lennox phase she went through during their 3rd album.
I have to say...I fell out with there music and became more of a Black Sabbath fan. Although recently I've really gotten back into them. I've been going album by album and learning the guitar parts. Jimmy Page had a knack for making very tough riffs very simple to play, but they sound dynamite. Always thought of Sabbath as kind of the opposite side of the coin to Led Zep, but now I'm learning more of the mechanics.....The guitar work is very different. Tony Iommi is kind of blue color, while Jimmy Page was far more flashy. When it comes down to it though.....Tony's style is more complicated. Jimmy on the other hand made things simple, so when he played live he had room to improvise.
Just some thoughts.....Thanks Pinchy and King...Nice throwbacks for a crappy Monday.
The title of that last one reminded me of one of my favorites......Little coolness...My dad use to sit behind Judy Collins in grammar school and once even dipped her pig tales in his ink well. Both Sides Now:
Suite is a Woodstock classic. In fact, it made its debut at Woodstock, before it was even finished. I never cared for it too much, but when I really listened to it and researched it a little, I fell in love with it. Its got a great little story behind it. You can read a little more about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suite:_Judy_Blue_Eyes if you are interested.
To Pinchy: As, Mick Jagger would probably say if he were to ever endorse an Apple product, "Get off my Ipod." *hand behind back in Mick Jagger, reverse chickenwing style, lips pursed together like a fish sucking on a tank pump*
I'll take a listen KB...Thanks for sharing chart topper on your side of the pond.
Some more Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. This is one of my favorite songs, and my alltime favorite music video. I think this video played a huge part in who I am today, my sense of humor, my outlook on life... because I used to watch it on VH1 and MuchMusic as a little girl at my mom's work while I was doing my homework and waiting to go home.
