    but, did anyone realize this is a MUSICAL?

    uh.... im watching it now, and i saw...

    "music and lyrics by steven Sondheim"

    im like, why the hell is their like lyrics for the score...

    then it opens with some dude and Johnny Depp Singing...

    i am honestly, uh, kinda stupified, since, well, i didnt realize it was a musical....


    and Johnny Depp must have watched the Buffy Episode "Once More With Feeling" quite a few times, cause, well, he sounds like Spike....like, its almost exactly like spike...


    but was anyone/everyone else aware that this was a musical?!?!?!?

    Yes. I was kind of hoping they kept it a musical. I like musicals at times.
    So does Depp sound horrible?

    You know what? I must have missed that tidbit of info too, or forgotten...Or something. Not sure how I could have done, but humph, weird.

    That has added another dimension to it.

    honestly, it wasnt good.

    i might try and watch it again this weekend, but, it wasnt very good.

    and Johnny Depp sounds like a bad James Marsters from the Buffy Episode....

    picture this, but by someone about 5 steps down less talentled vocally and you have an idea...



    BTW i always wanted to cover this cause this would be an awesome song to cover, and any buffy fans in teh audiance would go ape shit...and i love buffy....

    Some good lyrics in that song. I too liked that series.


    Hmm. I'll watch S Todd, just not expect anything. It was probably going to be a watch it on dvd type scenario anyway....

    hey kb.....Joss Whedon, is one of the 2 NON musicians that impresses me.

    teh STORY IS...he NEVER played an instrument in his life, and in like 8 months wrote that episode....

    and when i tell you that "once More With Feeling" is amazing, its an understatement.

    if theirs ONE episode of buffy that EVERYONE needs to see, its THAT ONE. i dont know how a dude with no musical ability wrote something like that in literally 8 months or some shit.

    Yup BTD that is a good episode, the man is hugely talented and no mistake. It is staggering how talented (and driven or focused) he is.

    I don't know what he is working on at the moment, there were rumours of another supernatural film and another series. I suppose it is just a case of wait and see. Though I might look on IMDb. Ha ha!
