Well, I think alot of people on here may have met me, on the front page, but have never put the comments with a face or don't know a lot about me so here goes

I have been an artist my whole life and I love to draw, I am usually always drawing, and right now I am working on a new porfolio so I can finally look for a job in the industry again.

I usually seem to come across as cruel and rude, and thats just not the case, I tell the truth, unedited, I guess I don't know how to lie

I love to eat healthy and work out, I rarely abuse my body, so I eat alot of protein foods, veges and fruits, I think nice cold ripe carrots are great, hate them cooked for some reason

I eat a ton, therefore I am always cramming my face with food.

Am thinking of being celibate for the rest of my life sometimes (ask me why, well, I'll tell you if you ask, this can come across as kind of mean

I don't drink a lot, but I guess when I do, its got to be hard liquor, with nothing saccharine in it like soda, and juice and all that, certain mixtures are okay I guess

I love hip hop more than anything. I mean real hip hop not that nonsense people think is hiphop. There is a lot of other music I like to, like Yoko Kano(did the ghost in shell opening song), Old grooves, temptations, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, The Delphonics, Chi Lites, Oh but man I think B.B. King is the man, he is so underrated.

I am writing a book of Poetry right now, I know, doesn't seem very manly to some people, whatever, really its just a way I get my feelings and thoughts out

I usually will try anything, I see life as a circle and everything in this world is in that circle. I just don't want to get to the end of my life and not regret having lived it fully.

I am still contemplating changing religions, from baptist to taoism, baptism and christianity seem so wrong sometimes, its just touchy

I love to joke around, I am always laughing and joking with people! I love to have a good time, I have come to the realization that life is short and I want to enjoy it

I have this strange fixation with words, I love looking up words, eh I guess everybody has a weird hobby
  2.
oh yeah, for a picture of me just look on my front page profile what else, balls of doom

    Hi.

You're a very complex and deep person and I like that.

I'm Caitie Harmful on the front page, by the way.

Am thinking of being celibate for the rest of my life sometimes (ask me why, well, I'll tell you if you ask, this can come across as kind of mean

My former best friend is celibate. It's really hard for him, because he can't get into a relationship with a woman that respects that. His focus is amazing....I think it'll be....13 years this July for him. In any case, the fact that you're celibate or concidering celibacy makes you a rare individual in my eyes.

one of the reasons why i think poetry isn't considred 'manly' is because teachers used to aim females toward poetry('hey you should write some') and send the guys to other areas of writng that were taken more 'seriously' or were considred more practical.

    think that factored in...

As an educator, I can tell you with 100% certainty that this statement is utter bullshit.

Sorry, Glim. Love ya, but I'm pulling the bullshit card on this one.

Teachers don't gear females towards poetry anymore than they gear guys towards taking shop classes. For every female poet (Emily Dickinson, Anne Sexton) that's done memorable works...there's a male poet (Jim Carroll, Langston Hughes) that's done something just as memorable.

If you want to cling to that antequated notion, go ahead....but you might want to also claim that the Earth is flat and women shouldn't wear pants or be allowed to vote.

Azkadellia- So your caitie, nice to meet you face to face sort of, Thanks for the compliment! Well to be honest, I haven't been active in eight years cept it wasn't by choice. I guess it was more bad luck, and not a lot of time. So I just started looking at it as a road to take, especially with some of the polluted thinking out here!

TLA - Thank you, yeah I want be jumping in if there is no water, but then to again I just may jump in cause I am hardheaded

King Biscuit - Man you have to explain that name some day! I am a big fan of old tunes man. Music was so different back then than now. It was more about the music than being famous and talentless. I love writing and art, and if you feel the same way I do, you will probably want to die at your desk, pencil or pen in hand when your old. You should share some of your stuff on here.

jmcronshaw - yeah sadly those type of people do exist! poetry is songwriting, music, hiphop, country ballads its a lot of things

TLA here here ha ha ha your right.

francois antoine - Thanks you seem very interesting to. You play the clarinet, now that is different, I guess cause I never really hear much about clarinetist, its usually the violinist you hear of so much. Full of thoughts, yes, well, I don't own a tv, its either read and think or go crazy, which coincidentally is right down the hall from me! It sucks that B.B. King is overlooked like that. The sad thing is, that after he is dead and gone and people realize how great he was, there will be shirts with his face on it and stuff like that. you should cherish people while they are here and now! Currently I am living in ATX (Austin, TX) such a great hospitality they have here!

JennyClaire - my second post now, guess its time to take the training pants off, lol! I don't know, if mine suck you be the judge, I've posted some

A FEW POEMS FROM BALLS OF DOOM

    THE GREATEST TRICK OF ALL
    Abracadabra
    no not even close
is the truth that has been veiled
    from afar
    and sometimes up close
there is a consciousness to it all
a purpose as it begins to unfold
alas the trick is thus not sold
    it has deceived the deceiver
    but not the crowd
the crowd has deceived the deceiver
into thinking he as deceived them himself
the greatest trick of all isn't from the deceiver
    because he was deceived himself

    AMONGST WOLVES
    I can feel them
    they are watching me
sinking their eyes into me like teeth
    watching my every move
    thinking they will have me
swift as the wind silent as a whisper
    eyes piercing like thistles
i ignore and continue to eat
even though their eyes are getting closer to me
    terrifying faces and frightening grins
are turned upside down and lost in the wind
they spring forward with no warning
and i without a seconds delay
flapped my wings, , , and flew away

    COMING OF MORNING
I see it, here it comes, the morning creeping
the sun hints from behind the landscape
bringing day, giving the darkness chase
the sun shines on the green grass lining
making the dew on the grass like diamonds
the sun looks like half of a disc
    touching the morning coolness crisp
the sky is artpiece in full spectrum
colors peacefully collide in this section
time goes by real soon, and i unable to move
watch the sierring heat come and bring noon

    FLOWERS
From a teardrop to a river
I remember a kiss as cold as December
    that changed my life forever
    Love is always and forever
flowers are for people while they
can touch, see and smell them
don't wait to put them at their head
while they are alive, put them in their hand
I never gave you your flowers but
from a teardrop to a river
I'll remember a kiss as cold as December
    that changed my life forever
    Love you always and forever
    Mrs. Baby D. Hardman, (grandma)

THE BEATING HEART ON THE GROUND
lo pieces to a heart lay on the ground
    each incongrunous
broken, they still make a sound
    love seems lost
and a will to persist is found
among the many pieces that lay on the ground

    MORNING GLORY (HAIKU
    at the crack of dawn
no sun this morning but it
    still is glorious

    MOON NIGHT
the moon was as a silver toenail in the sky
shining bright hanging high eternal eye of the night
taking your place among the stars tonight

WHEN THE WORLD WOULD JUST THROW STONES
    he is not alone
    cause there are those
who has chosen to travel along the road
and stand by his side when
the rest of the world would just throw stones

    THE PHOENIX
the flames from the pyre finally dies
no more am I expected to rise
    nor soar, nor fly
by those who lit my pyre
doest only the smoke seem to rise, surprise
    then to mine enemies eyes
    the flame is rekindled
as they watch the Phoenix rise

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR (lol this one is about a girl, you can tell)
you two me are a breathe of fresh air
    I inhale your fragrances
    I love your beauty
    cleanliness
    like that of a flower
    in a open field
    never a breath away

    SNOWGLOBE
    a rusted school desk
    by the tool shed
    sits covered in snow
    while branches
    break under pressure
    of the ice and cold
    what a snow globe
    a memory makes
    especially when you shake it
    when shaken
I can watch the the snow
    fall, all over again

I have some new ones, just haven't gotten around to finalizing them! lol, it may be a while so I already bought a few snickers

    Caitie is correct.
and even further teachers never used to aim females at any intellectually creative pursuits
    much less poetry
which had, until the last 50 or 60 years, been the most intellectually rigorous form of creative written expression in the world
women have always been taken more seriously at the less "taxing" creative pursuits like the novel or drama
it is, and i hate saying "in my opinion" but i'll say it here, one of the great pernicious misconceptions of the last century
that poetry is all about feeling and emotion only
all of the greatest lyric poetry is conscious and thoughtful, even philosophical, reflection on feeling
and/or a making of the world strange and new through the use of figurative language

Poetry is indeed, a great gift of self expression

    Hi Balls of Doom,

Thanks for sharing your poems here. Sometimes they are very private because of the sentiments they convey....
It is always nice to take in reflection and find personal and creative ways to make thoughts and observations your own.

I don't know, if mine suck you be the judge

Poetry is very interpretative, and I was joking earlier on about the sucking part of course ;P

Great to see you appreciate the art of crafting words ;)

Yeah, I hear you about music, there are still good things being done. They may not receive the same attention as the famous and talentless, but it's out there. :) Some of it influenced by rare/old grooves.
Yup, the writing is a great love, though I have confidence issues with (the creative writing side of) it, I'm getting there.

    Have a good one!
