so i work part time at Borders
which is in the shitter financially
so at our morning meeting last week the manager
in order to justify the management team's increasingly assholeish behavior said:
"Well shit runs downhill"
as if his boss being a dick is some sort of justification for him to be a dick to us
so i said
"doesn't sweet delicious honey run downhill too?"

it's retail management
i wonder at the sanity of anyone that actually enjoys it

What a prick, that sucks dude. FWIW, I have never been in a Borders where the employees seemed to give a shit. As your manager says, shit flows downhill, so it must come from the tippy top.
