'the vistor' was the indie movie 'smash' success of early 2008.cool wors of mouth and a surprise(??) box office. it was probably in the top for a month (usually in spot #9 or #10)

but the best 'story' about this movie is that it stars richard jenkins (i guess he's best known as for being in hbo thing six feet under.nope i'venever seen that show...)


richard is 61. and 'the vistor' was his first role...as the star.

wow he didn't get 'his' movie/a movie that was his until his 60's.


i wonder if he even stopped thinking he'd be cast as 'the star' ?????


i saw an interview with jenkins....hell i may even be sort of re-reading it now.... ;)


he 'hinted' he was one of those there was nothing else i wanted to do in life/thought i could do types/follow you heart to end/for another round vibe things....

'they do a movie around a star,not the supporting players' and in 'the vistor' mr.jenkins that was you. :)

i caight a free screening of 'the visitor' early this year and i'm glad i did because it's sort of movie i may have passed on other wise.
