  1.
    im confused.

anyone that was a fan of the velvet underground in the 60's would prolly be into the indie bands of today, i said PROLLY we can argue about that, but uit was a general statement....

and how old would THEY BE?!?!

good point on the v.u. there would very likley be some bands they like.

but i say someone in this age bracket being sooo into indie is still sort of rare/surprising.maybe i shouldn't be surprised.

if msomeone tell me a 57 year old is into the slant of indie as the guy that wrote this article the first thing i'm gonna say is...music critic.maybe i should get the lame viewspoints/stances out of my head.

    but anyway i always say surprise/unexpected audiences =cool. :)

oh and btd...hold on there's big discussion about the velet underground in the newish disney flick bandslam/ which i *loved*. yes i'm a wimp. :)
  2.
wow you LIKED bandslam?!?!? thats a surprise.

i saw VU and Bowie on the soundtrack, and was like, wow why they have these bands in this?

plus im always skeptical about movies where people that look like Aly Michalka and Vanessa Hudgens are the "outcasts"

but maybe ill check it out now

    btd....maybe a slight spoiler.

but for real man bowie pops up in the movie for minute or something. yeah i surprised.

and if a longish (well by movie standards) about nthe velet underground ehich cds the two characters talking liked more.

later own you mentions of the bad brains and sonic youth (and there another something was big shock to me i'm forgetting ) and things may not find as surprising to get refed the who (hey you love those guys ) rhcp, u2, the killers, the clash, the ramones.

oh and two of the chracters sneak in cbgb.and walk around the close club. and you're thinking. 'i'm watching a disney film ??? '

and btd. i loved bandslam. i'm likley gonna get the dvd. no joking.

and honestly Aly Michalka and Vanessa Hudgens aren't 'outsiders' in the way/reasons you'd expect.and that's whay they can get by with it. i don't want to go into spoiler land or maybe i'm just to lame to type the reasons. ha ha...

i'd say Gaelan Connell is the chracter that fits more of the usual outsider' role. just look at his photo and you'll find it abit believeable. he's the 'outsider' heart of the movie.

it's weird bandslam got some good to even great reviews.but did zero money.hell i wouldn;t have seen this if i woouldn't have got into free screening. but now i've seen it. it would have zero problem if i paid !!!! :)

pretty cool bandslam review at the hollywood reporter !

roger ebert give bandslam three stars ! :)
  3.
ill definetely check it out.... right now, i have lietally like 12 movies to watch that... kep getting put off by the fact im watching Angel LMAO...

im getting near the end tho.

ill check it out next week sometime....

plus i love hudgens, she acts all nice and shit and you just KNOW in real life shes a dirty fucking whore who will let you put it anywhere anytime. i love how even making it SO obvious she has SO many people fooled.

btd. maybe she's just fooled parents and me. ha ha opps changed it ebert gave bandslam three stars and the readers gave it three and half. hell three stars is still good.

so you'd prefer vanessa over aly ??? the world wants to know... ;)
  4.
glimmer, between those 2? yes, vanessa over Aly. like i said, she looks and seems all innocent, but i bet once you get down to brass tacks, vanessa is the one screaming nasty shit all night
