DJ, with the exception of DiCaprio whose performance is weak, he seems like hes trying to be jack nicholson at times IDK, the movie is strong. honestly, it could be one of the best movie scores ive ever heard.
if hans zimmer doesnt win an oscar for best score, right now, that will be the most offensive oscar snub this year.
but the movie is really strong in everyway except dicaprio.
i hate gordon levitt, but even he was good.
theres other things id like to share, but i dont want to ruin any part of the experiance.
hmm didn't wow me... wait this review at the immortal bop especially the words on page two cover my feeling on this film for me. wow someone that actaully counts as an adult thinking in similar manner as me. ha ha...inception review at bop...
still i'm glad i saw this film and i'm really rooting for it boxoffice/acclaim wise. because this trad film big movies only being able to function as pacifiers/'i only want to entertain you' stuff has got to end.
and going back to some of the stuff i didnt read cause i wanted to go in blind, the CLEAR era this movie was WRITTEN and things released around that time... i feel christopher nolan aknowledging these things make the movie better. even if he made this movie 10 years ago like he wanted, with the writting and such, this movie is superior, and, 2 of the compared movies i enjoy throughly and the 3rd i do also enjoy.
as soon as the open sequence happened, it brought to mind a movie... i was like ok... ive kinda seen this before....
but reading nolan acknowledge these things, it makes me personally enjoy it more, and for the same reason i fuckinG DISPAISE and hate eli roth.
i may go see it again in the theater as its a movie that needs to be seen in one.
the trailer was looking awesome... me and my friends were loving it till...
"an m night shamalyn film"
rolled across the screen, and we proceeded literally to laugh loudly for the rest of the trailer as everything that happened in the second half of the trailer for "Devil" took on a new, pathetic laughable aura once that statement came across the screen.
see... i'm not sure i was as impressed with this one as most people i've talked to/reviews i'd read. it was good.... but not completely mind blowing like i thought it would be.
